Ananda Sheffey has been teaching and coaching at Gaston Day School since 2016. After playing multiple sports in high school, Ananda was an all-conference performer in women’s soccer at Belmont Abbey College. As a coach, she has worked in the basketball and soccer programs at the middle school and varsity levels. Ananda coached all three seasons for four consecutive school years; this dedicated effort was highlighted by a state championship with Gaston Day’s varsity boys’ soccer team in 2019. Both Ananda and her husband, Terrone, are from large families which they are very close with. In addition to being a proud dog mom, Ananda is a movie lover.
