Dennis Bisgaard is Head of School at Maret School in Washington, DC. 

Dennis has over 30 years of experience as an independent school educator and administrator. Dennis’ expertise includes leading independent schools through transitions, staff development, educational leadership, enrollment management, equity and justice, and talent development.

Born in Germany, Dennis grew up in Denmark from age 9. After a year’s of study in Canada, he earned his first graduate degree in Denmark before moving to the United States, where he completed and MA in Educational Administration from Columbia University. He speaks English, Danish, and German.
