Dr. Peter Verdin

Co-Director: 2-4-1 Boise

Dr. Peter Verdin is a former athlete, a teacher, a coach, a researcher, and a dad. He was a 4-year starter for the University of Georgia baseball team where he was drafted by the Washington Nationals. Peter did not pursue a career in baseball because of the burnout he experienced in college. Since, Peter has made a career out of developing physical literacy within children, especially the joy for movement and the pursuit of sport to foster positive experiences that keep children involved with sport and movement for a lifetime. Peter has been a strength coach to all ages, written physical education curriculum and trained teachers around the country, taught physical education for grades K-12th grade, and researched a variety of topic around youth development. He holds a PhD in human and sport performance from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Currently, Peter lives in Boise, Idaho with his two kids Brooklynn (4) and Kendall (2).
