
Farmington Physical Education & Health Teacher and Girl’s JV Soccer Coach.
Mackenzie Luiz is an all state-athlete from Newington High School where she played soccer and lacrosse. After her high school career, she attended Springfield College where she studied Physical and Health Education and was a Captain of the Women’s Soccer team. In 2019, Mackenzie was recognized by The Massachusetts Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance receiving an Outstanding Future Professional Award. During her Senior year studying at Springfield College, Mackenzie was recognized as SHAPE America’s 2020 Physical Education Major of the Year. During her time playing soccer in Springfield, her team played in the NEWMAC final 3 times and earned two ECAC championship titles. She volunteered and led many soccer clinics including a National Women in Sports Day event as well as a Unified Sports clinic in Springfield. She also welcomed the very first Team Impact Player to the Springifeld Women’s soccer team in 2017. Mackenzie completed her student teaching at Farmington High School during the Spring of 2020. After graduating from Springfield College, she began her teaching career in Farmington at Irving A. Robbins Middle School where she currently teaches Physical and Health Education. Mackenzie is also the coach of Farmington High School’s Girls JV Soccer team.
