2-4-1 Ice Hockey in Harlem

2-4-1 is thrilled to partner with Ice Hockey in Harlem to bring our acclaimed sport sampling model to their annual summer camp at The Harvey School in Katonah, New York. This unique collaboration offers nearly 60 children involved in the Ice Hockey in Harlem program an unforgettable week of fun, play, and learning.

Each morning, participants will travel from Harlem to the Harvey School in Westchester County, where they will sample two outdoor sports in the morning, followed by lunch and ice hockey sessions in the afternoon. Our traditional 2-4-1 sports sampling program ensures that campers enjoy a variety of activities designed to foster physical literacy, social-emotional learning, and joy through play.

This partnership was born from the collaboration between Steve and Kerry Boyle, 2-4-1 CARE’s Executive Director, and Malik Galvin, Ice Hockey in Harlem’s Executive Director, during their participation in the LeagueApps FundPlay Foundation Accelerator Program. Their shared vision for making sports accessible and impactful led to this incredible opportunity to combine forces and expand the reach of both organizations.
