Set-up

Partners sit facing one another with soles of their feet touching and holding hands.

How to Play

Without letting go of each other’s hands, partners work together to stand up at the same time. After successful pairs, combine into groups of four, then eight, and eventually challenge the entire class.

Work together rather than pulling.
Try different strategies before asking for help.

Back-to-back variation.
Groups of 8 or whole class.
Timed challenge — how fast can the whole group stand?
