Set-up

Have participants stand in a circle with enough personal space to move safely.

How to Play

Beginning with the facilitator, each participant says their name while adding a simple movement or gesture. The entire group repeats both the name and movement before the next person takes a turn. Continue until everyone has participated.

Rules

Everyone gets a turn.
Repeat each person's name loudly and respectfully.
Encourage creative but appropriate movements.
Celebrate every participant.

Keep It Going

Add a favorite sport or food.
Add an emotion.
See how many names the group can recall in reverse order.
Time the class and challenge them to improve.

  • Allow students to pass and return later.
  • Use name tags when appropriate.
  • Keep movements simple and accessible.
