Chris Orozco

Sport Director

Chris Orozco is a dynamic coach and former standout athlete who believes in the power of multi-sport development to build well-rounded athletes. As one of New Jersey’s leading basketball scorers during his high school career, Chris understands firsthand how skills from one sport can transfer and enhance performance across multiple athletic disciplines.

Now a dedicated coach at Dwight-Englewood School, Chris applies his deep knowledge of basketball strategy, movement, and athletic development to a variety of sports. He emphasizes agility, spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and decision-making—essential skills that translate beyond basketball into sports like soccer, lacrosse, and football. His coaching philosophy encourages versatility, creativity, and adaptability, helping young athletes develop confidence and resilience in any game they play.

As Sport Director at camp, Chris fosters an environment where kids explore different sports, discover their strengths, and develop a lifelong love for movement. His leadership inspires athletes to embrace multi-sport play, knowing that skills learned in one sport can enhance performance in another, while also reducing burnout and injuries. Whether coaching on the court, field, or track, Chris is dedicated to helping every camper grow as an athlete and as a competitor.
